We recently discussed the role and benefits of Workforce Manager platforms with a few of our internal experts. The following Q&A is the final blogs of this series; it highlights what leaders should consider when exploring the implementation, optimization, or replacement of a workforce management solution.

What advice would you give to organizations exploring a better way to manage their workforce resources?

Brent Baughn (Director Customer Experience): “The advice I would give is to invest in technology. You need a robust solution to digitize your processes and prioritize your efficiency. Once you have an excellent tool in place, make sure you’re communicating the benefits of these new digital processes to your staff. Provide training and make sure your new technology platform is being adopted and utilized.”

Anthony Chang (VP Sales): “I tell organizations (which are considering implementing or optimizing their workforce management practices) to think of a typical day (especially in the field) and write down the challenges they typically experience. This exercise helps them ask the right questions and make sure they implement a solution that optimizes their day-to-day processes.”

Andrew King (VP Business Development): “The solution itself is extremely important. Ease of use and simplicity are two benefits that should be kept top of mind. Being able to have a solution that can encompass all of the different facets your business needs to operate efficiently should always be a top consideration. Having the correct staff within the office and in the field will allow for a much smoother and faster implementation of a workforce management solution. You need a solution that is going to allow for quick and easy communication between your staff in any department to ensure that everyone is receiving the correct information as quickly as needed so they can make the right decisions in the most effective time frame.”

Trent Cherin (VP Strategic Partnerships): “When you roll out your workforce management application, make sure you take advantage of all the training available. Your back office staff needs to know how to use it. Your dispatchers and, and most importantly, your people in the field need an app that’s eady for them to see and use. Digitize your well thought-out workflows for them and they’ll thank you for it!”
